Canalside Community Radio Ltd
Canalside is one of around 240 Community Radio and Media organisations across the UK and has been broadcasting to the North East Cheshire area since 2005 from their media centre in Bollington. Canalside is dedicated to serving our area with not only the best and most varied music selections you’ll hear anywhere, but also with other great products including a comprehensive local events what’s on guide called “The Thread” and their radio/media education and training arm, “Phase One Training“.
They are supported by a wide range of local businesses including Local People Macclesfield! Keep your eyes open for details of special offers for advertisers in LPM to get their advertising on the airwaves as well and for other joint ventures between LPM and Canalside that may be happening in the near future!! Oh yes ….!!
Macclesfield Festival
After an incredible turnout last year, Macclesfield Festival returns on 21st July 2018 with an even bigger and better line-up including Hacienda legends The Happy Mondays, local rock band The Virginmarys and kids TV favourite Mr Bloom, all gracing Priory Park, home of Macclesfield Rugby Club.
The event has been put together by local Macclesfield residents and is a family friendly, fun-packed day for all ages, starting at 10am, live music from midday and finishing at 8pm with a huge firework finale and a clubhouse after-party until late. A community-led event showcasing local talent, produce and traders – and supported by Local People Macclesfield!!
